The second annual Nightmare Emporium Festival is here again in Seattle and features an original score by Salo for the film Loop by Matt Dy. (There are multiple screenings, but the Loop film will be showing on Tuesday October 30th.)
Blurring the lines between fiction and reality, Awaiting Oblivion… follows the story of AO, an anonymous street artist who has tasked artists Tim Smith Stewart and Jeffrey Azevedo to create a performance that will share AO’s “temporary solutions” for existing within our collapsing empire.
Employing an array of materials including plastic film, paper, sequins, and ribbon, Katy Stone responds to the movement of light and shadow within Oxbow gallery. For the closing reception artists Joe Milutis, Rachel Green and dl Salo (Earth and Ceremony) will create an improvised sound and projection performance in the space.
Earth and Ceremony (Rachel Green and dl Salo) will be performing all new compositions along with Lukas Lauermann from Vienna playing songs from his new solo album How I Remember Now I Remember How.
