Earth and Ceremony will be performing all new compositions along with Lukas Lauermann from Vienna playing songs from his new solo album How I Remember Now I Remember How.
The Brickhouse hosts an evening of new composition by Vienna based cellist LL and Seattle based performance group Earth and Ceremony.
Cellist Lukas Lauermann plays with celebrated Austrian bands (such as Soap&Skin, Donauwellenreiter, Ritornell, a.o.), writes and plays music for theatre and film productions (such as, Saint Genet, Gelatin, a.o.) and realizes sound improvisations: now LL presents his solo debut, and invites us to listen into “the great spaces all around” – spaces of memory, chambers of sensation, places of yearning.
Earth and Ceremony, cofounded by installation / performance artist Rachel Green and composer DL Salo, creates immersive installations, modern operas, films and contemporary performances that speak to the avant-garde and evoke the paradoxical uncertainty of life.
